Beim ersten Start der App wird ein anonymes Konto erstellt. Du bekommst ein zufälliges Pseudonym wie „firn-3b660279“. Wir fragen weder Name noch E-Mail-Adresse ab.
Rechtsgrundlage: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO (Bereitstellung der App).
Dein Standort wird auf dem Gerät verwendet, um die Karte zu zentrieren und den Sonnenstand zu berechnen. Er verlässt das Gerät nur, wenn du eine Wegmeldung abschickst — dann wird die Position dieser Meldung gespeichert.
Wir zeichnen keine Bewegungsprofile auf. Die Live-Tour-Verfolgung läuft ausschließlich auf dem Gerät und wird nicht übertragen.
Eine Meldung speichert Zustand, Schweregrad, Koordinaten, Zeitpunkt und optional ein Foto. Meldungen sind für alle Nutzer sichtbar — dein Pseudonym wird dabei nicht angezeigt.
Enthält ein Foto GPS-Daten, verwenden wir diese als Ort der Meldung. Lade keine Fotos hoch, die du nicht öffentlich zeigen möchtest.
Trägst du dich auf dieser Seite in die Warteliste ein, speichern wir deine E-Mail-Adresse sowie — falls angegeben — Vorname und Lieblingsregion. Wir nutzen sie ausschließlich, um dich einmalig über den Beta-Start zu informieren, und geben sie nicht weiter. Rechtsgrundlage: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO (Einwilligung). Eine formlose E-Mail genügt zur Löschung.
Kartendarstellung und Routenberechnung: Mapbox (USA). Wetterdaten: Open-Meteo (Deutschland). Schweizer Ortsnamen: swisstopo (Schweiz). Server und Datenbank: Supabase, Region EU (Irland).
Beim Laden von Karten wird deine IP-Adresse technisch an Mapbox übermittelt. Für Übermittlungen in die USA stützen wir uns auf die EU-Standardvertragsklauseln.
Meldungen bleiben gespeichert, solange sie für die Verhältnis-Historie relevant sind. Alles andere bleibt, bis du dein Konto löschst.
Du hast das Recht auf Auskunft, Berichtigung, Löschung, Einschränkung, Datenübertragbarkeit und Widerspruch (Art. 15–21 DSGVO).
Auskunft und Löschung kannst du direkt in der App ausführen: Profil → Meine Daten. Der Export enthält alle zu dir gespeicherten Daten; die Löschung entfernt sie unwiderruflich, inklusive hochgeladener Fotos.
Du kannst dich außerdem bei einer Datenschutz-Aufsichtsbehörde beschweren.

An anonymous account is created when you first open the app. You get a random pseudonym such as “firn-3b660279”. We never ask for your name or email address.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (providing the app).
Your location is used on the device to centre the map and compute the sun position. It leaves the device only when you submit a trail report — then that report’s position is stored.
We do not record movement trails. Live tour tracking runs entirely on the device and is never transmitted.
A report stores the condition, severity, coordinates, timestamp and optionally a photo. Reports are visible to everyone; your pseudonym is not shown next to them.
If a photo carries GPS data we use it as the report location. Do not upload photos you would not want shown publicly.
If you join the waitlist on this site we store your email address and, if you provide them, your first name and favourite region. We use them solely to tell you once when the beta opens, and never share them. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). An informal email is enough to have them deleted.
Maps and routing: Mapbox (USA). Weather: Open-Meteo (Germany). Swiss place names: swisstopo (Switzerland). Servers and database: Supabase, EU region (Ireland).
Loading map tiles necessarily sends your IP address to Mapbox. Transfers to the USA rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Reports are kept while they remain relevant to the condition history. Everything else is kept until you delete your account.
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR).
Access and erasure are self-service in the app: Profile → My data. The export contains everything stored about you; deletion removes it irreversibly, including uploaded photos.
You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
